THE REDS put in a high scoring appearance at Newry on Saturday and but for a frustratingly good stint by the home goalkeeper it could have been much higher.
It all started when Richard Nelson claimed his third of the season when he placed a reverse home at the second attempt.

IRISH international coach Paul Revington has a big gap in midfield following the recent retirement of the vastly experienced Stephen Butler and Graham Shaw — but he could do worse than hand their places to Lisnagarvey’s Jason Lynch and Cookstown’s David Ames. Lynch and Ames both caught the eye as their teams maintained their bids to qualify from their pools in the Irish Hockey League on Saturday by sweeping aside Irish Senior Cup semi-finalists Three Rock Rovers and Annadale respectively.

THE REDS’ second string backed up they wonderful win over Glenanne with a thorough drumming of Raphoe at Coolnafranky on Saturday.
