This Weekend's Fixtures

There are a number of big games this weekend for four of Cookstown’s five teams.
In the EYHL, Cookstown Men travel to St Andrew’s College to take on top of the table Glenanne Hockey Club at 3.15pm.

“There’s no doubt it’ll be a tough match but we’ll give it our all,” said Reds’ midfield dynamo Mark Crooks.

“I thought we played really well against Monkstown at the weekend, and probably did enough to get more points out of the game. The Cork match in the Senior Cup didn’t go our way, but we controlled most of the match and got ourselves into some really good positions.

“We cut down a few of the silly mistakes and put a lot of effort into our defensive responsibilities and that made a whole lot of difference to our overall game.

“I’d hope we can add to those performances. We’ve always enjoyed playing against Glenanne and I expect this weekend to be no different.”

Cookstown Ladies have a big match in Ulster Senior 2 against Northern Ireland Civil Service Hockey Club at Steelweld Fabrications Ltd Park at 2.30pm while Cookstown IV are at home at 4pm against Kilkeel Hockey Club III in JL3.

Cookstown II have a really tough looking trip to Lisnagarvey Hockey Club III at Comber Road at 2.30pm. Cookstown III have a weekend off.
